Comprehensive review of the MSI MAG 276QE27 | Blazing speed and vibrant details

The MSI MAG 276QE27 monitor represents an exceptional choice for gamers who refuse to compromise between image quality and performance speed. By combining high (2K) resolution with a super-fast Rapid IPS panel, this monitor delivers a very smooth visual experience that always keeps you one step ahead of your competitors in first-person shooters and fast-paced action games.

Features of the MSI MAG 276QE27

This monitor focuses on delivering top-tier competitive performance while maintaining stunning visual quality, with features distributed as follows:

Stunning resolution and sharp details (27" WQHD Rapid IPS)

The monitor comes in a size of 27 inches which is preferred by most gamers, with a resolution of WQHD (2560 x 1440) that provides excellent pixel density and sharper details compared to 1080p screens. Relying on a Rapid IPS panel ensures you wide viewing angles (178 degrees) and accurate colors without sacrificing the response speed typical of older TN panels.

Competitive performance (275Hz & 0.5ms)

The standout feature here is the incredible refresh rate of up to 275Hz, paired with a near-instant response time of 0.5ms (GtG). This combination completely eliminates motion blur and screen tearing, making tracking fast targets in games like Valorant, CS2, or Call of Duty extremely precise and easy thanks to support for Adaptive-Sync.

Cinematic colors and superior contrast (10-bit & DisplayHDR 400)

MSI has not overlooked the visual aspect; the screen supports displaying over a billion colors (10-bit color depth) and covers a very wide color gamut of 122.39% sRGB and 95.59% DCI-P3. The screen also features excellent brightness of 400 nits and is certified VESA DisplayHDR 400, providing fantastic contrast and a rich visual experience when watching HDR-supported content.

Perfect compatibility with consoles (PS5 & Xbox)

The power of the screen is not limited to PCs only; it is fully equipped for home gaming consoles. The screen supports a refresh rate of 120Hz at 1440p resolution for PS5 and Xbox, with full support for variable refresh rate (VRR) to prevent tearing, and HDMI CEC technology to automatically turn the screen on and off with the console.

Advanced ports and multiple capabilities

The screen comes equipped with the latest generation ports including a DisplayPort 1.4a and my ports HDMI 2.1 to ensure data transfer at the highest possible speed. It also supports picture-in-picture (PIP/PBP) features to display content from two different devices at the same time.

Who is this monitor for?

For competitive esports players, content creators, and FPS game enthusiasts who need the utmost smoothness (275Hz / 0.5ms) with excellent resolution (2K) to spot enemies from long distances. The monitor is also excellent for console gamers (PS5 / Xbox Series X) looking for a desktop monitor that supports 1440p resolution at 120Hz with official VRR support.
