Product Overview
MSI PRO MP276E18 27 FHD IPS 180Hz Gaming Monitor
Comprehensive review of the MSI PRO MP276E18 | The perfect balance between productivity and entertainment
This monitor belongs to the PRO series from MSI, which is typically known for its focus on office work, but the MP276E18 breaks this rule by offering a very high refresh rate (180Hz) and a fast response time. This combination makes it an excellent "hybrid" monitor for users who need a comfortable screen for work and study during the day, and fast enough for competitive shooting games at night.
Features of the MSI PRO MP276E18
This monitor offers a smart configuration that meets the diverse needs of the economical user, with features distributed as follows:
A wide screen with accurate colors (27" FHD IPS)
The screen comes in a size of 27 inches comfortable for the eyes while reading documents or enjoying movies, with a resolution of FHD (1920 x 1080). The screen relies on an IPS panel to ensure wide viewing angles (178 degrees) and accurate colors that do not change regardless of your seating angle, and features an anti-glare coating to reduce reflections from ambient lighting.
Smooth and fast gaming performance (180Hz & 1ms MPRT)
Although classified in the business category (PRO), it hides a gaming beast inside. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 180Hz (with overclocking OC), with a response time of 1ms (MPRT). This performance, supported by Adaptive-Sync, ensures you a tear-free and blur-free gaming experience, making it excellent for fast esports games.
Enhanced contrast and vibrant colors (1500:1 Contrast)
This screen outperforms many standard IPS screens by providing a contrast ratio of 1500:1 (compared to the usual 1000:1), which means deeper blacks and more vibrant colors. It also supports HDR Ready, covering a color space of up to 108.58% sRGB, delivering a rich and beautiful image that meets entertainment and content consumption needs.
Practical connectivity and smart features
The screen offers excellent connectivity flexibility, featuring a HDMI 2.0b port (capable of fully supporting 180Hz), in addition to the old D-Sub (VGA) port that makes it compatible with older and desktop computers. It also supports HDMI CEC feature that allows the screen to automatically turn on with consoles, and the MSI Power Link application.
Who is this screen for?
For home users, students, and employees looking for an all-in-one screen at an economical price. The 27-inch size is excellent for watching movies and multitasking, and the 180Hz refresh rate makes it a very strong choice for gamers with budget computers (as it easily runs games at 1080p with high frame rates). It is also an excellent option as a secondary screen in multi-monitor setups.
